Bishop is the leader of the Devil Chasers’ Motorcycle Club, and a single dad trying to rescue his son from sins of his father. He doesn't have time to add a woman into the mix.

Bishop's past won't let go, and soon Tessa is swept up in the powerful, intense biker's world - and all the danger that brings. When all hell breaks loose, will their love survive the blast or will everything be lost in the inferno?

***Inferno has an updated cover and edits have been made, but the plot stays true to the original story.

This book is a good book, it is well written and has likable characters. It just reminds me A LOT of the book Incandescence from the Knights Rebel MC series. The plots are very similar: teacher has student in her class, student acts up, need a parent-teacher conference, teacher falls for hot biker dad. Teacher has bad guy after her because of relationship with bad biker dad, her house is set on fire, etc. I kept thinking I'd read this book before while I was reading it.

This book seemed less realistic than the Knights MC book in terms of the teacher in this book, Tessa, seemed to have very few qualms about dating the parent of one of her students. As several reviewers noted, Tessa also seems to adjust to biker life and accepts being an Old Lady pretty easily. SPOILER ALERT: Also, her parents seem to completely accept Bishop, even though he is involved with harming a family member. Her kids also just readily like Nd av wot Bishop, mom hanging around bikers and moving into Bishop's house, no problems.

Having said all that, I like the hero, Bishop, and the heroine, Tessa. I am going to give the second book a try; really hope it's different than the second book in the Knights MC series, or it will be my last book, not because it's bad but because it's not really different.

Inferno A Devil Chaser MC Romance edition by L Wilder Brooke Asher Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I always try to give new author's I have not read before a chance. Thought this book waited too long to get the romance between COLE and TESSA going. This biker was a little tame compared to other MC novels I have read, but still thought his character and persona was HOT. Biker meets good teacher and both have kids to unrealistic to me but they made it work in the end. Will read next book about Renegade.
Bishop and Tessa meet when Bishop's son, Myles, gets in trouble and he has to meet with his teacher, Tessa. Sparks fly between them and they both try to figure out how to fit into each other's world. Tessa has two kids and is divorced and Bishop's ex-wife passed away several years ago leaving Myles with only his dad. The story moved quickly and there was a plot twist that made it interesting, but I was left wanting more at the end (not a bad thing, just not quite satisfied with how quick the story went). Overall a good read and will definitely read the next book in this series.
This is hard for me because I actually enjoy mostly every book I read but I had issues with Tessa. I know she's an elementary school teacher but really, where's her set of balls? She just seems so niave, scared and has extremely low self esteem which unfortunately flows through the whole book. Bichop is a biker who seems like a total softy. And not just with Tessa. With his club too. If you know anything about MCs or have read any MC books you would know that that just doesn't fly. Also, I just didn't feel the spark between Tessa and Bishop until the end of the book.
With all that out of the way...there was one character I really liked. Myles. I found myself laughing at his language. I thought is was funny that they all tried to reprimand him. He grew up around a bunch of bikers and is expected nitro use foul language? Riigghht.....
Overall this is a very predictable book. I've read something very similar in a book recently so I couldn't stop comparing the two. I will reading the next book though. I'm curious about Renegade.
Started reading normally, quickly went to skimming, but stil couldn’t get through the rest of the book. Which is rare, because I always want to know the story and the end. Couldn’t be bothered by this one. It just felt flat, the bikers did not sound or acted like hard, rough criminals. There was no chemistry between the characters, and getting the detailed recollection from both POV, saying the same was just tiresome.
I just finished Inferno and I liked it. It's a biker book so I am all there. Bishop is a single dad is president of the Devils Chasers MC. He has a lot going on and wants to make his MC more legit. He doesn't need any more going on in his life....he meets Tessa. She is his son, Myles's teacher. Instant sparks. But a rival club is not wanting to let his gun distributor go causing him to be more reckless and spiteful toward Bishop and his crew. He will hurt the ones that he cares about most. Read this wild ride!

I enjoyed it. It was quick and sexy. My only complaint is that I didn't get a feel for the characters like I wanted too. I felt like I was just reading what the author wrote. Meaning I couldn't really hear their voices. I still got hooked and want to know what's going to happen. Ready for Renegade!!

Story 4
Sex 4
Overall 4
This book is the first in a series with reoccurring characters from one club. Each book will be about a "new' couple. Think of this first book as 'motorcycle lite' in reference to it being a motorcycle club setting. In this first book, Bishop's and Tessa's attraction to each other was obvious very quickly and it progressed very effortlessly without any angst or drama between them. There is an external (sort of) threat that creates the tipping point for Bishop and Tessa to meld their lives and it all happens rather gently and effortlessly. Some graphic sex but certainly not excessive. No OW or OM. I would rate it 3.75/5, because I felt the ending was wrapped somewhat abruptly and a large issue involving Tessa's brother was not realistic with regard to its impact. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
Wow and yuummmmyyy are all I can say about this book. Until recently I had no interest in stories on motorcycle clubs, but some of the romance books about them are just fantastic and oh so mouth watering!! Bishop is like sex on a stick and just oozing with confidence, but has such a tender loving side that I could just swoon to!!! Tessa is such a strong confident woman, yet with her background she almost didn't seem like she would fit in the the MC lifestyle. When these two get together it is amazing! I look forward to reading the rest of A Devil Chaser's MC series!!! Keep up the great storytelling L Wilder and you now have a fan for life!!!
